RPAP | Health Workforce for Alberta is proud to sponsor the 2nd annual Career Transitions Health Care Expo for students in southern Alberta.

The HCE provides Grade 11 & 12 high school students, who have an interest in learning about careers in health care, the firsthand look at the opportunities that working in the health care industry can provide.

These students will be hand selected by teachers and school counsellors for showing the skill and passion to pursue a future in the health care industry.

Stop by the RPAP | Health Workforce for Alberta booth, and learn about becoming a doctor, and careers in rural medicine, from Kim MacKinnon of the RPAP team.

What students can expect from the day:

  • Meet hosts working in various health care industries - students can start their own network of contacts.
  • Participate in interactive displays - rather than just talking to hosts, students will get to experience a small part of the job and gain a greater insight into what the occupation involves.
  • Learn what it takes to work in the health care industry, including the highlights/lowlights of the job.
