The other day someone asked Dr. Gavin Parker of Pincher Creek, Alberta what kind of doctor he was. "A rural general practitioner," he replied. "Oh, JUST a GP," was the response back.

Dr. Parker has learned to let comments like that roll off his back, but he questions whether those asking the question really understand all that a rural GP does.
